College of Nursing Ranks 23rd in NIH Funding for Two Consecutive Years

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) released the rankings of schools and colleges who received NIH funding in 2006. For two consecutive years, Michigan State University College of Nursing ranks 23rd out of 100 schools and colleges nationwide.

College of Nursing faculty received nearly $2 million in research grants during 2006. The funding received from NIH will be used to advance excellence in nursing research and its translation into practice and education. The College of Nursing faculty focuses on research in two areas: chronic conditions and healthy families and populations. Faculty members that received NIH funding during 2006 include:
