The College of Nursing at Michigan State University is proud to announce that degrees have been conferred on 115 students. As part of a University with a rich history of excellence, we cannot help but take pride in the academic accomplishments of the graduates who have now joined the distinguished ranks of more than 4,300 nursing alumni.

The Class of 2009 was estimated to be comprised of:

· 58 students in the Traditional BSN program

· 7 students in the BSN for Registered Nurses program

· 49 students in the MSN program

· 1 student in the Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing program

A nursing graduation reception was held by the College on May 8th at the Kellogg Center, followed by spring commencement ceremonies on May 8th and May 9th. Patricia Hemingway Hall (CON BSN '75), Alumna and CEO of Health Care Service Corporation, was the College's key note speaker for the undergraduate ceremony. She has defined her own Spartan legacy by accomplishing many firsts for women in healthcare. Dean Mary Mundt presided over the ceremony.
