Wednesday, May 09, 2007

Michigan State University’s Assistant Dean for Professional Partnerships and Practice at the College of Nursing, Teresa Wehrwein, PhD, MSN, RN, will be honored at the 19th annual Nightingale Awards for Nursing® sponsored by the Oakland University School of Nursing and its Board of Visitors for her invaluable contributions to Nursing Education and Research.

Dr. Wehrwein is a Michigan State University Alumna, has been a nurse for almost 35 years, and has been involved in nursing education for more than 25 years. “I can truly say that I love what I do and learn something new everyday,” Dr. Wehrwein said. “Not many professions offer you that kind of potential to have so many different roles and impact people’s lives on a daily basis.”

This year there were over 130 notable nominations, with one winner and one runner up for each of the nine specialty areas.
